YAYOI KUSAMA -TATE MODERN GALLERY -FEBRUARY 2012
It’s been a long time since I last posted something here as I’ve been busy studying and finding inspiration for my uni thesis.
Everytime I’m in London, even if it’s just for a couple of days, I always try to save some time to visit the Tate Modern Gallery and two months ago I went there with a specific purpose: seeing the Yayoi Kusama exhibition.
Since I missed the chance to see it 3 years ago in Milan,I’ve been craving for seeing her exhibition as she’s definitely one of the best living artists and her art ,being sometimes extremely provocative and against any kind of rules, is very distinctive and recognisable.
The exhibition was really extensive(spread over 14 rooms) and it encompassed all the stages of the japanese polka-dot obsessed artist’s production ,including Yayoi’s pictures, videos and letters.
